Direction of play will help you understand the direction the stones want to develop. Having a strong sense for D.O.P will always show you were the most important part of the board is, so you will never feel lost. Bases are the building blocks of life and death. Having a strong base allows you to launch attacks without fear of dying. Checking extensions keep your opponents small and asks questions. Invasions are deep incursions within enemy groups. Reductions are safer than invasion, reducing your opponents potential. Learning how to attack properly is essential. And Defense is a key to the life and death of your stones. All these skills will be introduced and explained in detail.
