Five years after their Hellfest debut, the Californian ska-punk combo The Interrupters is back in the Warzone.
With the small but important difference that the band members were still considered the hopefuls of American punk back then, whereas today they enter the stage as heavyweights of the genre. In between, the band around bundle of energy Aimee Allen released their fourth album In The Wild, which oscillates wildly between happy ska and intoxicating punk anthems. An optimistic album that also features Tim Armstrong, Rancid's singer and long-time mentor of the band.

Armstrong's various bands (Rancid, The Transplants, Tim Timebomb and Friends) also gave the band, newly founded by Allen and the three Bivona brothers, numerous appearances as a supporting act from 2009 onwards. For The Interrupters, it's the ideal opportunity to tinker with the magical sound formula that can move the audience from dancing to pogo and back again in just a few seconds.

But isn't pogo actually a form of dance? This is a great place to ponder as The Interrupters sweep across the Warzone like a tornado.
