Dark mode or how to change the theme

When you first switched to XenForo it had a default dark theme. Now there is only a light theme. I have looked through the profile options and can't find a way to switch back to dark mode. Searching online only shows plugins and add-ons that have to be installed by the site administrators.

Is there currently a way to switch to dark mode and if not, are there any plans to implement the functionality?
